About Transfereta
One question, answered properly: when will my money actually arrive?
Why this exists
Transfereta was born from a familiar frustration: money in transit is a black box. You send a payment, the app says "done," and then: silence. Whether it's a freelancer waiting on an international invoice, a family sending money home, or anyone refreshing a banking app before rent day, the uncertainty is the worst part. Not the days: the not knowing.
The strange thing is that payment timing isn't actually mysterious. Networks publish their cutoffs, settlement windows and holiday calendars. The information exists; it's just scattered across scheme rulebooks, bank PDFs and operating circulars nobody reads. Transfereta's job is to compile those rules into one honest engine and give you a real answer: earliest, typical, latest, plus what to do if it blows past that.
What makes it different
- It computes, not quotes. Cutoffs are checked in each rail's home time zone; weekends and holiday calendars are calculated algorithmically for any year. A generic "1–3 business days" article can't tell you that your Thursday-evening SEPA transfer lands Tuesday because of Good Friday. The engine can.
- It shows its work. Every estimate comes with the step-by-step timeline and the assumptions behind it, plus a confidence tag when routing genuinely varies. The full methodology, including what we deliberately don't model, is public.
- It's structurally private. Not "we value your privacy": there is no server to send data to. The engine is a JavaScript file running in your tab. Nothing you enter is stored or transmitted, ever. The privacy policy fits on a postcard.
Independence
Transfereta is an independent project, not affiliated with any bank, card network or payment scheme. Nobody pays to make their rail look faster. Five guide pages carry a clearly-labelled partner link to a money-transfer service, which earns a commission if you use it. They never touch the estimates, never appear inside the calculator, and neutral guidance always sits above them.
Who it's for
Freelancers invoicing across borders. Families sending remittances. Small businesses timing supplier payments and payroll. Anyone who's ever googled "how long does a bank transfer take" at 11 PM. If money you're counting on is somewhere in the pipes, this site is for you.
